Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine. It will be right between the hose and the engine screwed into the intake. Wire colors are black and yellow. How can I locate the temperature control sensor for the radiator fan on a 1996 Monte Carlo?
Buy a $15 repair manual at your local auto parts store, or at the library-bookstore. then look under cooling section. If not, look for a sensor with two wires going to it, usually screwed into the top of the intake manifold, or possibly into the side of the radiator. there will be more than one. several are used for the air/fuel mixture, water/temp dummy light, etc. then if you have a engine code reader, disconnect one, you will get a service engine light scan the code to see if the one you disconnected is the one you are looking for. If this is too hard. follow the wiring back from the radiator fan.How can I locate the temperature control sensor for the radiator fan on a 1996 Monte Carlo?

Look on the back (engine side) of the radiator. Try toward the bottom. Look for something that has a wire coming out and going somewhere else. That's probably it.
