1993 Nissan Maxima temperature control closes only 3/4 of the way to the cold side. Need a simple fix.?

The switch moves all the way to the hot side and works fine. But the switch moves only 3/4 to the cold side. Worked fine for 13 years, now will not move to the end of the cold side. Not getting the full benefit of cold air. Need a simple do it yourself fix.1993 Nissan Maxima temperature control closes only 3/4 of the way to the cold side. Need a simple fix.?
I'd be really worried that some terrorist has infiltrated your vehcile. I would notify Homeland Security about that.
