I think I have heat exhaustion, will paracetamol help to control my temperature?

I remember once going to the doctor when i had a chest infection and she prescribed paracetamol saying that it would help to keep my temperature down. will this work with heat exhaustion/ is there anything else i should take to keep it down?I think I have heat exhaustion, will paracetamol help to control my temperature?
No it will not. Paracetamol lowers your temperature by suppressing your immune system. Heat exhaustion is caused by overexercise, high temperatures, and dehydration. The only way to prevent this is to take it easy, stay inside on those really hot days, and by drinking a ton of cold water. Infections raise your temperature because your body naturally highers it. Heat exhaustion is caused by outside factors. They are two completely different things that should not be confused for the same mechanism.
